Historical images are sources, not interchangeable decoration.
AUTHENTICITY
Missing portraits are never invented.
When no qualified portrait exists, the Museum uses a clearly non-historical curatorial treatment instead of a misleading image.
PROVENANCE
Sources travel with the image.
Published photographs, maps and documents retain their Museum record, rights state and, when available, a link to the original source.
